How does Arizona get into the NCAA Tourney over Arizona State?

Arizona State had a better overall conference record AND beat Arizona twice! Did Arizona get it because the powers that be couldn’t fathom an NCAA Tournament without them? This is injustice for Arizona State.

ASU played an abysmally weak schedule compared to Arizona’s, and ASU lost a couple stinkeroo games (Illinois, Nebraska) outside of conference.
I’m a big ASU fan, but this doesn’t strike me as an injustice. ASU got a #1 seed in the NIT and could be in New York in a couple weeks!

well when there are that many teams that suck you cant take all of them …i mean 65 teams is the limit

i agree, but at least they won’t make it to the 2nd round cause they’re gonna lose to west virginia.
