ultimately its all about numbers. if you can save thousands for each one harmed, then its in everyone’s best interest to get vaccinated.

Its not like someone is giving you a gun and asking you to play russian roulette if you take the vaccine. Life is dangerous, and there are TWO guns, you have to pull a trigger, and you want the one with the least bullets in it. And the least bullets is getting vaccinated.

before vaccinations, millions upon millions would die of diseases, with only the naturally immune and very fit surviving the illness. If vaccinations were available, the black plague would have never occurred, and that was under conditions that were FAR slower to spread disease (lower population density with less people traveling and shorter distances). Heck the Spanish were mainly able to topple a whole empire in the Americas thanks to disease that wiped out a LOT of the natives!

I think the important lesson to be learned here is that if you’re pretty and fall on some hard times, the establishment will rush to your aid. wow..I did not realize so many stupid people existed in this world…my bad. I will happily get the shot when it is offered and thankfully my kids are already vaccinated. I am very sorry for her and her family, but this was a one in a million chance thing happening.
